When was Ayla Brown born? July 28, 1988 (so her age is 21) in Wrentham, Massachusetts to Scott Brown, Massachusetts State Senator and Gail Huff, a news reporter for ABC affiliate WCVB in Boston. Basketball is her sport of choice and while at Noble and Greenough School, was named the Gatorade Player of the Year twice. She had to miss a few games of her senior season so that she could compete on American Idol. She made it to the top 24, but was cut in March of 2006 and did not make the Top 12. Ayla went on to Boston College, where she received a full ride scholarship. What position does she play? Forward, and she is in her senior year of play. She is majoring in Communications. She has sung The Star Spangled Banner numerous times, but most notably for Ayla, performing during the Boston Celtics’ 7th game in their playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks in May of 2008. Ayla signed with Double Deal Brand Records in 2006, and recorded her first album, Forward. According to her website, she has new CD coming out, titled Circles. She is set to perform at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, which is the site of her father’s election night party. Proceeds from the sales of her Forward CD tonight will aid the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
